We don’t often take the time to consider what we are saying to ourselves, nor the impact that it holds. There has been a lot of writing and research done in terms of the effects of language and the impact it holds on the brain and the rest of the physical body. Think for a moment about these two sentences and what feelings they evoke. “I AM, a loser,” or, “I AM so special.”
Each one of those two short sentences paint a completely different reality. In the first instance the speaker is feeling downtrodden and limited, like nothing ever works out and is no doubt feeling saddened by those very poor choice of words. The second speaker by the choice of words, I am so special, brings forth a completely different set of feelings and a whole different identity. If you feel special, you are far more likely to accomplish what is intended than if you have the attitude of being a loser.
The first words, whether it is realized or not speaks of someone who is berating themselves, the second thought speaks of someone who is self-supporting. Sometimes we speak to ourselves the way we do out of habit and it is because of the beliefs we hold.
We all hold beliefs, some that work for us and others that work against us. It is up to us to determine which beliefs serve us and ones that we need to discard. I have learned a great deal about what is termed belief work, or as it is called in psychology, “Shadow Work,” through my guide Jane Roberts and the Seth Material that she began to channel in the nineteen sixties.
Years ago major areas of psychology felt that our emotional difficulties lie deeply hidden in our subconscious minds and would need years of therapy to unravel. This is not so. Our limiting beliefs are simply patterns of thinking and once examined can be simply let go of.
I am very strongly psychic and I am a physical medium. I attribute greatly to how psychic I have become to two things, meditation and belief work. When we have a strong sense of self and our place in both the physical world and the nonphysical universe and understand it entirely, we uncover our true nature.
Positive self-talk and affirmations are not simply candy coded, manufactured nonsense, but can be used to restructure brains and unlock our enormous potential. It is a fact that we create our reality based upon the beliefs that we hold and we can step beyond the boundaries of known physical reality, any time we choose. We simply need to believe it is possible. There are a number of books written in regard to belief work, I have found Jane Robert’s book especially helpful.
I conclude by returning to the words, I AM. According to Dr Wayne Dyer and the Torah itself, the words I AM is the name of God and you need to be very careful how you use them because whatever you follow those two words with, you bring forth into your physical reality.
So if you want to learn to become more psychic and heal yourself, tell yourself, “I AM.”
