When our loved ones pass from this world, our greatest wish is to know that they are ok, that they have survived. The focus of this article is to demonstrate that we do receive signs from our friends, family and even pets that they have gone on to a new life.
I have read many times that people without any psychic ability that they are aware of will see deceased loved ones standing beside their beds at night. This happened to me on two different occasions.
The first visit was from my dad, who had been dead for over ten years by that time. He stood beside my bed, and I physically felt his presence as if he were still alive. He said, “Lynda, I am ok. There is a heaven. There is life after death.” It was amazing, and I will never forget how strongly I felt him in the room.
The next visit I had was from my grandmother, several years later. I had not seen her for over thirty years since she had passed, so I was very surprised. I said, “Gramma, why are you here?” She said, “I am here to take someone from the family home.” After saying this, she disappeared.
The next day, I received a call from my brother saying my aunt Joy had died. She would have been my grandmother’s daughter. I was so surprised to receive that phone call, but it was truly a validation of my grandmother’s visit.
I can also remember seeing my aunt Grace at her funeral when I was only six years old. She stood beside me, wearing the same hat, coat and white gloves she always wore to church. I said, “But Aunt Grace, you’re in the coffin.”
She said, “That’s just my body, dear. I am right here, and I am ok. I am going to heaven now, but you will see me again.”
I have shared this story in my writings before, but I felt it was important as it is such an amazing sign given to a small, innocent child.
In these last personal stories of mine, I want to share how our pets also survive death, and they visit us to let us know so.
I had an orange cat named Scotty who had been run over by a car. I felt very sad at the time, but a few months later, he walked past my bed looking healthier than I had ever seen him. His orange coat was shining with light. It was amazing.
I once had a small black dog named Buffy, who my dad found lost on the highway. Buffy appeared to me, sitting on my bed, over twenty-five years after she died.
I also had a green budgie I called Patrick W. Bird. I woke up in the middle of the night a few ago to hear Patrick chirping away in my bedroom. His singing was so loud and clear that at first I thought it was my neighbour’s budgie from across the hall.
Often, when I do readings, I will see animals sitting close to their family members. I have seen horses, dogs, cats, bunnies and even a duck.
People want to know their loved ones are trying to communicate with them. I can assure you, your loved ones do visit you, and they do try to send you signs that they have survived.
Some people receive visits from family and friends in dreams, and some have family members appear to them.
Some would like to have these visits, but have not. They wonder why their friend or family member hasn’t visited. What is going on, and are they really ok?
Oftentimes, this is due to the person being in such a state of grief. The other side knows when you are ready to receive such a visit. In the meantime, your loved ones try to reach out to you in other ways.
You might hear a song on the radio that reminds you of them, or a certain aroma in the room for no reason. A bird, or a butterfly, will appear to.
You can also ask your family member to send you a particular sign.
You must heal your grief as much as possible because this allows you to feel your loved one’s presence and experience fully the joy that they now feel.
Peace
